What you need
- 4+ years in a technical pre-sales, sales engineering, or technical implementation role within a B2B SaaS environment, preferably in the health tech space.
- Ability to lead customer-facing technical engagements — managing expectations, communicating data requirements clearly, and driving deliveries to completion.
- Ability to translate highly technical data requirements to non-technical clinical leaders while holding your own in deep technical discussions with hospital database administrators.
- SQL skills and demonstrated ability to analyze complex and sensitive datasets.
- Direct experience working with major Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
- Experience with cloud data infrastructure
- A track record of building internal tools, leveraging AI-assisted development tooling or automating manual work to improve process efficiency.
- Comfort with ambiguity — customer data environments are varied and there won't always be a direct playbook.
- Proactive and self-directed — you see what needs doing and drive it to completion without close supervision.
- Strong working knowledge of HIPAA compliance and secure data transfer protocols (SFTP, API security) for handling PHI.
- Experience with standard healthcare data interoperability frameworks and messaging protocols, specifically HL7 (v2 and v3) and FHIR.
- Familiarity with cloud data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
