What you'll do

Conduct data extraction and analysis using SQL
Create reports to support business needs
Respond to ad-hoc data requests
Document data requirements and perform quality checks
Research best practices and contribute to process improvement initiatives
Collaborate with team members to implement solutions
Partner with business users and product management to refine data requirements

What you need

Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related field
At least one year of college completed
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and SQL
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on logical reasoning, data relationships, and documentation
Familiarity with Python, AWS, or similar tools (preferred)

Data Analyst Intern- Summer 2027 Location US-MO-Saint Louis ID 2026-9970 Category Information Technology Position Type Temporary | Full Time Work Type Onsite Location : Location US-TN-Memphis What You'll Be Doing The Data Analyst Intern will work closely with Stifel’s data analysis team to support data-driven projects and initiatives. The Intern will collaborate with business users, product managers, and development teams to analyze, document, and refine data processes, all while gaining hands-on experience in data extraction, reporting, and analysis. What We're Looking For Conduct data extraction and analysis using SQL, create reports to support business needs, and respond to ad-hoc data requests. Document data requirements, perform quality checks, and ensure data accuracy to support effective decision-making. Research best practices, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and collaborate with team members to implement solutions. Partner with business users and product management to clarify and refine data requirements, supporting the development of data-driven solutions. What You'll Bring Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on logical reasoning, data relationships, and documentation. Education & Experience Minimum Required: Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related field with at least one year of college completed. Systems & Technology Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and SQL. Familiarity with Python, AWS, or similar tools is preferred.
