Join our team as a Design Engineer I, where you will support traffic Control/permitting projects within our expanding Gas Programs team. ENTRUST Solutions Group is an industry leader in engineering consulting, known for its growing gas utility presence and delivery of high‑quality, community‑impacting infrastructure solutions. In this role, you will be at the forefront of natural gas distribution design, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution across the project lifecycle.
This role is designated as remote out of the New England Area ( MA, RI, CT, NH, VT, ME, or NY) , giving you the flexibility to work from home while staying actively connected to your team and projects. We value collaboration and responsiveness, so we ask our team members to be available when in-office presence is needed - such as for client meetings, team events, training sessions, or field-related project support.
As a Design Engineer, you'll be an integral part of our Gas Programs team, collaborating closely with senior engineers and gaining invaluable technical guidance on underground utility design. You will support teams on projects to Prepare Traffic Control Plans and Support Client DOT Permitting Programs. You'll apply your knowledge and skills to ensure designs meet project specifications, and communicate effectively about scope, schedule, and quality challenges. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
Valid driver's license required. Ability to travel occasionally to project sites and perform field work as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using AutoCAD, and/or Bluebeam software is a plus.

This position pays between $70,000 and $80,000 annually and is an exempt position. Benefits offered include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full-time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours. May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
