In this role, you will work on some of our most challenging and complex electrical drafting and design projects. You will create new drawings, revise existing ones, and support field verification activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong CAD experience, a keen attention to detail, and a desire to contribute to critical utility infrastructure projects. Location: Westwood, MA Department: Substation Engineering Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Starting Rate of Pay: $48.07/hour (increases to $49.19 after six months) This is a union represented position so anyone going into this position would be required to become a member of the union. Key Responsibilities Independently design, assemble, and prepare complex electrical drawings. Update and revise existing drawings based on engineering changes and field conditions. Perform field checks to ensure drawings accurately reflect site conditions. Apply engineering practices and electric utility construction standards to assigned projects. Organize, manage, and direct drafting workflow for assignments within this grade level. Provide guidance and instruction to other drafting personnel as needed. Minimum Qualifications Ability to work in both office and field environments. Familiarity with engineering practices relevant to assigned projects and with electric utility construction methods and procedures. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage drafting assignments through completion following established practices and standards. Demonstrated interest and aptitude for advanced drafting and design work. Three years of drafting and design experience using Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) software or demonstrated ability in performing the work, preferred .
