What you'll do

Perform preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers
Perform general repairs on trucks and trailers
Maintain the fleet, no outside service

What you need

Diesel experience
Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics
Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools
Attention to detail
Teamwork/Interpersonal skills
A valid driver's license
Must be dependable
Welding experience (preferred)

Cars Towing and Transportation is looking for an experienced Mechanic to work in our Merrillville, Indiana location. Job Responsibilities and Duties: Both preventative maintenance and general repairs on both trucks and trailers. Diesel experience is required. Maintaining our fleet, no outside service. Requirements: Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools Welding experience, a plus Attention to detail Teamwork/Interpersonal skills A valid driver's license Your own tools Must be dependable Must be able to past a drug test Benefits: Generous amount of PTO Medical, Vision, Dental Company paid life insurance 401k Flexible hours Pay: Based on experience and capabilities (to be assessed during interview) Top pay for your qualifications Sign on bonus for experienced mechanic (to be discussed/assessed during interview)
