Direct Support Professional, DSP

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Community Living Support and Respite care for an individual with intellectual disabilities in the Charlotte , NC area. In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering independence, promoting community inclusion, and ensuring a safe, supportive, and positive environment both in the home and in the community. Key Responsibilities Provide 1-on-1 support, companionship, and daily living assistance. Assist with personal care, daily life skills, meal preparation, and medication administration as needed. Facilitate community integration and personal goals while maintaining a safe environment. Maintain a warm, encouraging, and supportive atmosphere. Keep accurate, timely service documentation in accordance with agency policies. Qualifications Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Required: Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and active auto insurance. Required: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Experience supporting individuals with Intellectual Disability is preferred. Strong communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills. A genuinely compassionate, patient, and heart-centered approach to care.
