What you'll do
- Coordinate freight movements and dispatch company and third-party trucking, assigning drivers and carriers.
- Field customer calls, communicate with yard managers, provide customer service, and investigate accidents when necessary.
What you need
- Excellent attendance record.
- Experience in dispatch or the transportation field is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with other departments and all levels of employees.
- Must represent the company at all times in a positive and professional manner to enhance the company’s image with employees, leadership and the public.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and demonstrate effective time management skills.
- Strong keyboarding skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Knowledge of Federal and State DOT regulations.
- Knowledge of IFTA and reporting procedures.
- Ability to make quick decisions in an ever changing fast paced work environment.

Overview
Responsible for dispatching company and third-party trucking as well as fielding calls from customers.
Responsibilities
Coordinate freight movements.
Dispatch and assign drivers/carrier for customer service through the use of the OTM system and Samsara.
Provide quality customer service to all internal and external customers.
Effectively communicate with yard managers to access their transportation/dispatch needs.
Ability to organize and make decisions.
Investigate accidents when necessary.
All other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Excellent attendance record.
Experience in dispatch or the transportation field is preferred, but not required.
