About the Position
The Editorial Assistant provides day-to-day support to The Princeton Review’s editorial and data teams within the product group. Reporting to the publishing team, this role supports the accuracy, organization, and timely delivery of print and digital publishing work through a mix of editorial support, data tracking, administrative coordination, customer communication, and project management.
This is a detail-oriented, hands-on role for someone who is comfortable managing multiple priorities and working across editorial, publishing, finance, legal, and creative workflows. The Editorial Assistant may also support social media, research, and special projects for the Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director.
What You'll Do
Editorial & Customer Support
Respond to editorial support inquiries, including reported errors, Online Student Tools questions, guidebook inquiries, and refund requests.
Track reported errata in Excel and update the Book Corrections list in Student Tools.
Publishing & Proofing
Review eBook passes provided by Penguin Random House, track errors, and communicate corrections.
Support cover review by submitting second-pass covers to Legal and update Google Sheets for upcoming book web assets before deadlines.
Permissions, Invoices & Financial Administration
Request permissions for materials used in upcoming retail and course books and submit related materials to Accounts Payable.
Submit weekly freelancer invoices, track invoices in Excel, create customer refund check requests, and submit receipts to the Director of Editorial.
Book Orders & Review Tracking
Order books for editors and authors using the TPR Amazon account and company payment card.
Review Amazon listings for TPR books monthly, update tracking files with recent reviews, and share updates with editors.
Social Media & Special Projects
Partner with the Editor-in-Chief or Creative Director on social media work, including research, script writing, content calendars, and video recording.
Support the Editor-in-Chief with special projects that may include Bill.com administration, social media platforms, research, and conference-calendar coordination.
Who You Are
You have a bachelor’s degree; a degree in English, Creative Writing, or a related field is preferred.
You bring at least one year of editorial experience, preferred.
You are comfortable working across multiple computer databases and are proficient in Microsoft Office.
You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
You demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
You can manage multiple projects on tight deadlines and prioritize work appropriately.
You have strong attention to detail and are comfortable tracking information accurately in spreadsheets and other systems.
You are adaptable and willing to support a wide range of editorial, administrative, and project-based needs.
You collaborate effectively across teams and communicate professionally with internal and external partners.
You bring a proactive, organized approach to your work and follow through on commitments.

US Pay Range
$24—$30 USD
