The Electrical Engineer is the core technical role in Tesco’s product-focused Engineering organization. The role designs and applies manufactured electrical equipment around Tesco standard products and approved OEM equipment, adapting those products to project-specific requirements while preserving manufacturability, listing constraints, repeatability, and commercial discipline.
Electrical Engineers are expected to become proficient in complete equipment-package design rather than one narrow drafting function. The role combines electrical calculations and schematics with physical layout, component application, material/BOM definition, manufacturing coordination, testing, and project execution. Controls, PLC/I/O, instrumentation, and communications are treated as interfaces that must be understood as part of the complete electrical product.
This role will require travel up to 10% of the time.
