Engineer I - Structural Requisition ID 2026-20791 Location US-RI-North Kingstown Seat Location EB Quonset Point Facility Trade Engineering Shift 1st Security Clearance Required Secret Overview As part of the QP Manufacturing and Construction Engineering organization you will put your engineering and problem solving skills to the test, seeing your solutions put into action in real time with a mix of assignments ranging from a few days to several weeks to complete. This will be in support of Virginia Class construction. This is truly the best opportunity to apply engineering skills in support of a state-of-the-art nuclear submarine construction facility. This position is ideal for the highly motivated individual who enjoys getting their hands dirty; working directly with production tradespeople and management, developing designs from inception to use on a variety of interesting applications. Job assignments will include design development and production support of: Lifting and handling fixture designs and process support Lifting & handling arrangements – learning state-of-the-art crane capabilities and heavy load transporter operations Lifting and handling drawings and build strategies Fixture Design and Engineering to support Manufacturing. This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI location. Qualifications Required Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Civil (Structural) Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent engineering degree 0-5 years of post graduate engineering experience Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the department of defense Preferred Experience and knowledge in submarine design and/or construction Knowledge of lifting/handling methods and/or structural fabrication techniques Knowledge of lifting/handling methods and/or structural fabrication techniques NX, Teamcenter, SOLIDWORKS, and/or AUTOCAD experience in 3D model manipulation, structural analysis, and 2D drawing development Experience with EB Manufacturing Engineering Documents or Lifting and Handling Procedures Skills Highly motivated Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Drive to be successful, and excellent attention to detail while being comfortable working in a dynamic construction environment A demonstrated ability in multi-tasking and technical project management is desirable Capability to learn and apply NRE knowledge to future work Physical Qualifications Climbing, Color Vision, Crawling, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Reaching, Stooping Environmental Attributes Cold, Hot, Inside, Noise, Outside Options Apply for this job online Apply Share Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
