Our mission is to deliver the highest quality professional services while prioritizing our employees’ well-being and fostering an exceptional workplace environment. Overview The Role Spend your summer building real instrumentation & controls (I&C) systems alongside our engineering team. As an Engineering Intern, you’ll support active projects across data center, energy, semiconductor, and water/wastewater markets—and see how a Platinum Rockwell Automation partner takes a project from design through commissioning. Responsibilities Support design engineers in developing instrumentation and electrical design deliverables, including drawings, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams. Assist with PLC, HMI, and SCADA configuration and testing under the guidance of senior engineers. Participate in systems and application engineering tasks, including factory acceptance testing (FAT). Help compile submittals, technical documentation, and as-built records. Research components and support procurement and bill-of-material (BOM) activities. Attend project meetings and site walkdowns to understand end-to-end project execution. Rising junior or senior standing preferred; in good academic standing. Coursework or familiarity with controls, circuits, or automation concepts. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Strong problem-solving and communication skills and a willingness to learn in both office and field settings. Available to work full-time for the duration of the summer program; travel to project locations may be required. Preferred Exposure to AutoCAD, EPLAN, or PLC programming. Prior internship, co-op, or hands-on project experience. Internship Details This is a full-time summer internship running approximately 8–10 weeks during Summer 2027, based at various Prime Controls locations.
