What you'll do

Repair and maintain tractors, trailers, equipment, tools and vehicles; troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, air and hydraulic systems.
Prepare equipment for operation, replace engine components, obtain parts, follow safety procedures and complete maintenance records.

What you need

A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not necessary.
Education: a high school diploma

Summary Greenbush Logistics, Inc. currently has a career opportunity available for an entry level Diesel Mechanic (Class C Technician) at its terminal location in Mansura, Louisiana. Essential Duties: · Performs repairs and preventative maintenance checks and services in accordance with company policies and procedures. · Perform repairs and preventative maintenance checks and services in accordance with company policies and procedures. · Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, air and hydraulic systems. · Prepares tractor/trailers and assigned equipment for operation. · Perform preventative maintenance on tools, repair parts, equipment and assigned vehicles. · Adjust operating mechanisms. · Determines extent of corrective action and repair parts required to correct malfunctions. · Can replace engine components and accessories. · Capable of operating power tools and equipment. · Obtains replacement parts and turns in unserviceable parts to part section while adhering to policies and required procedures. · Reads, understands, and applies information contained in company maintenance manuals, technical manuals, policies and common schematic diagrams. · Knows and applies required company safety procedures. · Completes applicable maintenance forms and records i.e. PM sheets. · Capable of operating forklift/powered truck.
