Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $16.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). The Environmental Technician I serves as technical assistant to the program biologist in the NCDEQ Washington Regional Office. The Environmental Technician I will conduct creel census interviews at waterbody access points in the Albemarle Sound Management Area (ASMA) in Chowan County, Washington County, and Bertie County. Responsibilities include determining fishing location, fishing time, catch, species identification, size, and other biological parameters. The technician will organize, code, and compile data for computer storage and analysis. Weekend work is required. This is a home-based position.
