Yuzu Health

Health insurance is one of the most important and complex industries in the world. We believe the technology behind it should make it easier to build better health plans, not harder. At Yuzu, we're on a mission to make health insurance more transparent, connected, and trustworthy. We've built our own modern health plan administration platform and paired it with hands-on operational expertise, giving our partners the flexibility to bring differentiated health plans to life, serve their customers, and grow their businesses. We're backed by General Catalyst, Chemistry, Anthropic’s and Menlo Ventures’ Anthology Fund, Lachy Groom, and Neo. Our team brings together curious builders, experienced operators, and thoughtful problem-solvers who believe there's always a better way. We move quickly, challenge assumptions, and care deeply about the quality of our work and the people we work alongside.

About Us Health insurance is one of the most important and complex industries in the world. The Role We’re looking for an Executive Assistant to partner closely with two of Yuzu’s cofounders and help them make the most of their time. You’ll manage calendars, coordinate meetings, arrange travel, and keep day-to-day logistics running smoothly as the company grows. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys bringing structure to a busy environment, anticipates needs, and takes pride in getting the details right. You’ll learn each founder’s priorities and working style, use good judgment when plans change, and follow through without needing frequent direction. Trust is essential. You’ll handle sensitive information and work closely with people across the business, so discretion, reliability, and sound judgment matter as much as organizational skills. You’ll also help coordinate in-office and off-site events and candidate visits in coordination with our office managers, creating a welcoming, well-organized experience for our team and the people getting to know Yuzu. You will: - Manage both cofounders’ calendars, balancing priorities, resolving conflicts, and protecting time for focused work. - Coordinate internal and external meetings across time zones, including scheduling, meeting rooms, video links, and relevant materials. - Arrange travel, accommodations, transportation, and reservations, with clear itineraries and thoughtful attention to logistics. - Anticipate scheduling needs, flag potential issues early, and adapt quickly when plans change. - Help organize in-office events and team gatherings, coordinating catering, vendors, setup, and other details. - Partner with the hiring team to coordinate onsite candidate interviews, including schedules, arrival instructions, room bookings, and welcoming candidates. - Handle confidential business and personnel information with care and discretion. - Improve recurring scheduling and administrative processes as the team grows. Minimum Qualifications - Experience supporting executives or managing complex calendars, scheduling, and logistics. - A demonstrated ability to earn trust and handle confidential information with discretion. - Strong organizational skills, close attention to detail, and consistent follow-through. - Sound judgment and the ability to work independently while knowing when to ask questions or escalate an issue. - Experience coordinating meetings and arranging travel. - Clear, thoughtful communication and the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external partners. - A proactive approach to anticipating needs and taking ownership of tasks through completion. - Comfort managing competing priorities in a fast-moving environment. - Proficiency with calendar, email, document, and video conferencing tools. Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting founders or multiple executives at a growing startup. - Experience coordinating recruiting interviews and onsite candidate visits. - Experience organizing office events, team gatherings, or offsites. - Experience managing travel and scheduling across multiple time zones. - Experience building simple administrative processes that help a growing team work more efficiently.
