What you'll do

The operator is responsible for the setup and operation of the BLH/UBE press while performing quality checks on extruded materials.
They must also analyze production issues, maintain measuring equipment, and ensure efficient workflow within the extrusion team.

Candidates must have at least one year of experience in aluminum extrusion and possess press certification.

DEPARTMENT: Extrusion JOB TITLE: Operator Level 2 (FWD – Team 5) REPORTS TO: Department Manager with direction from Team Captain SHIFT DAYS /HOURS: Week 1: Sunday through Tuesday Week 2: Sunday through Wednesday 6 am – 6 pm Bonnell Aluminum is searching for an individual to join our Extrusion team. What You’ll Be Responsible For: • Operation of the BLH/UBE press including set up for specific products. • Detect, analyze, and solve problems that may arise. • Assist in making critical decisions regarding whether or not to continue to run a die • Responsible for maintaining all measuring equipment/tools which is associated with the job • Perform quality checks on material being extruded • Perform all daily AM’s associated with the press • Work with little or no supervision. • Inspiring others to work efficiently, defuse conflict, and make good decisions Work Environment/Physical Demands/Job Requirements: • Minimum 1 year experience in aluminum extrusion • Press certification required (80 hours minimum training on the press with a certified • Press operator and pass the written test) • Basic computer skills • Basic understanding of Aluminum Association Standards • Ability to read and understand blueprints and travelers • Ability to understand and have experience using Applied Stats and ASCONA measuring system • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to others • Ability to work with measuring tools/devices such as micrometers, calipers, squares, protractors etc. • Understand dies and their purposes • Ability to Identify quality grade levels and determine whether the product being produced meets the quality requirements of the customer • Ability to lift, push, and pull material weighing up to 100 pounds. • Ability to do basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide whole numbers). • Maintain excellent attendance What You’ll Need: • High School Diploma/GED preferred • Pass company background check and drug screen What You’ll Love About Us: • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance • Matched 401k • Paid Vacation
