Job Description: Who We Are Founded in 1891, Seattle Pacific University has a long and distinguished history in Christian higher education. Located just minutes from downtown Seattle, SPU seeks to be a premier Christian university fully committed to engaging the culture and changing the world by graduating people of competence and character, becoming people of wisdom, and modeling grace-filled community. What We Need Seattle Pacific University’s Facilities department is seeking an organized, service-oriented Facilities Support Services Coordinator to support the day-to-day delivery of Facilities services across campus. This on-campus position coordinates the department’s central stores and inventory functions, including the procurement, receipt, storage, distribution, and tracking of maintenance and custodial supplies. The Coordinator also provides service desk support, assists with maintenance service requests, communicates with campus customers and Facilities staff, and supervises part-time student employees. Through these responsibilities, the position helps keep Facilities resources organized and contributes to timely, responsive service across campus. This role may be a good fit for someone who enjoys a combination of organization, customer service, hands-on operational work, and problem-solving and who takes satisfaction in helping others get the materials and support they need. Work with the Maintenance Manager, Custodial Manager, and other Facilities staff to support work-order intake, dispatching, customer communication, and service tracking using the department’s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Provide responsive customer service. Provide service desk coverage, respond to customer questions and service requests, provide status updates, and help resolve routine issues. Supervise student employees. Train and supervise three to five part-time student employees supporting warehouse and service desk functions. Support effective Facilities operations. Work with Facilities staff to evaluate products, materials, and vendor options that meet departmental needs and service objectives. Assist with campus operational needs. As an essential Facilities employee, report for work as required during inclement weather, emergencies, or other situations affecting University operations. Comfort using computerized systems to maintain records, track inventory, or coordinate work. Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), such as TMA, SchoolDude, or Maximo, is helpful. A valid Washington State driver’s license and driving record that meets University requirements. Ability to operate University vehicles ranging from small pickup trucks to larger box trucks. Forklift certification or willingness to complete forklift training. A personal commitment to the Christian faith and affirmation of SPU's Statement of Faith ; enthusiasm for supporting the University's Christian mission ; and willingness to uphold the policies and lifestyle expectations of SPU's Christian community.
