Field Engineer Intern

RESPONSIBILITIES * Assists in review of project documents and maintains adherence to plans and specifications * Reviews shop drawings for project coordination * Supports team in the enforcement of requirements for jobsite safety * Assists with developing and reviewing JHAs * Assists with material delivery/procurement * Assists with GH Phipps’ Quality Assurance Program * Assists with all aspects of job setup, project meetings, and close-out as directed * Assists supervisor in maintaining as-built drawings and specifications * Assists in supervising specific trade partners as directed * Assists craft with managing day to day tasks * Assists with creating and managing weekly work plans * Assists with production tracking of craft and trade partners * Assists with maintaining horizontal and vertical control * Other duties as assigned   EDUCATION Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field   EXPERIENCE 3 months related industry preferred but not required     SKILLS * Proficiency in Microsoft suite * General familiarity with construction software (PROCORE and Bluebeam preferred) * General familiarity with plan and specification reading * Ability to assist with and perform necessary functions for more than one project * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Time management * Organization   EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS * Verifiable work references demonstrating exceptional accomplishments, leadership, and communication skills  * Successful completion of post-offer background & drug screens * All positions at GH Phipps are considered safety sensitive. Position may be required to visit a construction site at any time. * In person, regular attendance required   This position pays $22.00/hour
