Field Technician

ACS is looking for a sharp, reliable Flooring Measurement Technician to be our eyes in the field. You'll visit homes and job sites, take precise measurements, and flag potential issues before they become problems on installation day. These principles shape how we work, solve problems, and support each other every day. About the Role You'll often be the first person from ACS that a customer meets in person. Your measurements and site notes are the foundation for accurate quotes and smooth installations, so our sales and install teams rely on you to give them a clear, complete picture of every job. What You'll Do Travel to residential and commercial job sites to measure rooms, stairs, hallways, and other areas for flooring installation Create accurate sketches or digital diagrams showing doorways, transitions, closets, and obstructions Inspect subfloors and existing flooring for moisture, uneven surfaces, water damage, rot, squeaks, cracks, or anything else that could affect the job Note installation factors such as furniture or appliance moves, tear-out of existing flooring, trim and baseboard work, and height differences at transitions Take photos and write clear reports so the office can prepare accurate quotes Answer customer questions professionally and set clear expectations about next steps Submit measurements and reports promptly after each visit What We're Looking For Experience in flooring, construction, home improvement, or a related trade preferred (we're willing to train the right person) Strong attention to detail and comfort with measurements and basic math Ability to spot potential problems and explain them clearly Friendly, professional presence with customers Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for photos, measuring apps, and reports Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation Able to kneel, bend, climb stairs, and access basements or crawl spaces as needed Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Vacation (Planned Time Off) Sick/Personal (Unplanned Time Off) Flexible Spending Accounts Health Savings Account (HSA) Commuter Accounts 401k with Employer Match (up to 4%!)
