What you'll do
- Participate in acquisition and divestiture (“A&D”) activities and analysis
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and economic analyses for A&D opportunities, capital investments, and strategic initiatives
- Develop analytical tools and decision-support materials to enhance performance and strategy within existing business units
- Work closely with the Strategic Planning group to incorporate A&D initiatives into short-term/long-term planning analyses
- Interact frequently with industry partners and third-party capital providers
- Research for information related to current A&D projects and general market trends
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- 2-4 years of upstream oil & gas investment banking, corporate finance, M&A, or related experience is required
- Knowledge of the upstream oil and gas sector
- Advanced financial modeling and presentation preparation skills (proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership of assigned responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
- Exposure to reserve-based valuation, economic modeling, or transaction diligence processes
- Experience preparing materials for executive leadership or investment decision-making
- Familiarity with upstream data sources and industry analytics tools
