About This Role
The Floating Relationship Banker – Sales is an experienced retail banking sales professional responsible for supporting the Chula Vista, Eastlake, and Del Mar branches while helping drive client acquisition, relationship growth, deposits, loans, and qualified referrals across all three locations.
This is not a traditional float teller or branch-coverage-only position. While providing staffing and operational support based on business needs remains an important responsibility, the role is primarily focused on relationship development, business development, consultative sales, and community engagement.
The Floating Relationship Banker will have individual sales and production goals and will proactively develop new client relationships, deepen existing relationships, generate referrals, conduct outbound calling and follow-up, and represent First Bank at local business and community events. The position will work closely with branch managers and internal business partners to build sales pipelines and create new business opportunities throughout the San Diego market.
Because this banker will work across three offices, the position requires someone who can work independently, quickly adapt to different branch environments, establish credibility with clients and employees, and influence results without direct authority.
This role also provides developmental experience for an individual interested in a future Branch Manager opportunity. The employee will gain exposure to different teams, client bases, branch operations, sales strategies, and business-development opportunities while demonstrating the ability to contribute across multiple locations.
