What you'll do
- <p>DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Technician to conduct a variety of Highway Maintenance Services, as well as other related tasks under close supervision. We are seeking a qualified applicant that will train in Highway/Roadway Routine Maintenance. <strong>*4 Day Work Week!*</strong></p><p><strong><u>MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Clean and clear culverts.</li><li>Mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides.</li><li>Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.</li><li>Assist in storm cleanup.</li><li>Fence and sign repair. </li><li>Litter/debris removal.</li><li>Emergency response.</li><li>Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.</li><li>Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.</li><li>Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.</li></ul>
What you need
- <p><strong><u>EDUCATION:</u></strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.</li></ul><p><strong><u>EXPERIENCE:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Must be at least 18 years of age or older.</li><li>Must possess a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.</li><li>Able to work in adverse weather conditions.</li><li>Able to lift moderately heavy objects.</li><li>Be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods of time.</li><li>Accurate eye-hand coordination.</li><li>Ability to adapt to changing situations with work plans and work schedules due to workload or season display.</li></ul>
