Assist a lead installer with removing old HVAC equipment and installing new heating and cooling systems in customers' homes, including ductwork, refrigeration lines, wiring, and equipment placement. Prepare and organize installation trucks, help commission systems, and clean work sites indoors and outdoors.
Requirements overview
Prior manual labor experience is required, and construction or other trade experience is preferred; HVAC installation experience is also preferred. Candidates must be able to perform physical work for 8–10 hours a day, lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, work in tight spaces and varied weather, and communicate with customers.

Compensation and Benefits:
Starting pay range $22-25/hour DOE

What does an Installation Technician do?
You will be traveling to customer's homes as one of a team of 2 installers. The lead installer will direct you as you assist to remove the customer's old equipment and install new heating and cooling equipment. This includes tasks like running wire through walls, fabricating and installing duct work, installing refrigeration lines, replacing venting, and putting new equipment in place. You will typically assist on 1-2 jobs a day.
Job Duties:
Organize, load, clean install trucks.
Laying out supplies and organizing vehicles preinstall.
Properly leveling ground for the outdoor unit and placing outdoor unit pad.
Layout and assist lead with installing line set.
Install ductless mini splits, including: refer lines, line hide, condensation lines and control wiring.
Braze refer piping connections.
Cut interior wall penetrations.
Mount and wire thermostats.
Properly install and hook up high and low voltage control wiring.
Perform system commissioning on basic unitary forced air and ductless systems.
Properly commission communicating systems.
Clean site indoors and outdoors.

Requirements
HVAC install experience preferred
Experience in manual labor within construction or any trade required
Physically able to carry out manual labor for 8-10 hours a day.
Be comfortable with and physically able to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, work in tight quarters and in the different weather conditions.
Strong communication skills with the ability to talk about the install with customers.
Previous experience doing manual labor required.
Experience working in construction field preferred.
