Inbound Coordinator

Responsible for the inbound flow of goods into the distribution. Partnering with the Inbound leadership team to schedule inbound containers, check in inbound deliveries and move loads through Bluviz to ensure timely receipt of goods ahead of the Last Free Day and while avoiding per diem, storage or bobtail fees. Principle Responsibilities Administrative support to the inbound and inventory function Serve as a single point of contact for scheduling inbound freight Work with Inbound Mgr/Supv to ensure the timely unload of freight and within Last Free Day (LFD) parameters Manage Street Turn to ensure containers are processed through to completion and we maintain strong internal controls to avoid per diem, storage, bob tail fees by managing inbound flow to the Last Free Day Responsible for coordinating and ensuring we have documented OS&D’s and report timely to the business unit, carrier, vendor, stakeholders Review inbound Shipment Notifications to assist Inbound Mgr/Supv with balancing workload/labor requirements Competencies Excellent oral and written communication skills required A demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment, to take initiative, to work independently of day-to-day supervision, and to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization Must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment Highly detail-oriented with the ability handle shifting deadlines and priorities High level of commitment, sound judgment, great follow-through, and initiative Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments; Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.
