Industrial Maintenance Mechanic - (1st shift)

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for addressing a variety of challenges and performing associated maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment within an industrial food manufacturing facility. The position is more of an industrial maintenance technician that will self-perform or assist other technicians with advanced repairs throughout the campus. The role works under minimal supervision and some contact with external suppliers and customers Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Intermediate understanding of PLC’s, ability to access program for troubleshooting purposes (would not be expected to program PLC's) Troubleshoot and repair minor pneumatic and hydraulic problems Install, maintain, and repair electrical pumps, motors, heaters, piping systems, water systems, and steam systems Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on general manufacturing equipment such as starters, start/stop stations, motors (up to 480V) Experienced in programable firmware, AC and DC electrical systems, analog and digital display units. Test performance of robotic assemblies Evaluate efficiency and reliability of industrial robotic systems, reprogramming calibrating to achieve maximum quantity and quality Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary. Other duties as assigned Qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Must be 21 years old or older Must be flexible on duties and schedule Ability to work independently Ability to perform work at heights using fall protection gear Ability to bend, manipulate tools in small spaces Ability to frequently lift and or move a variety of objects up to 75 pounds Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to write basic reports and customer request documents such as work orders. Preferred Qualifications: Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field 2+ years of experience working with automated conveyors and controls 2+ years of experience with electrical and electronic principles, and industrial electronics 2+ years of experience conducting preventative maintenance Apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field If you do not meet 100% of the preferred qualifications outlined, we still encourage you to apply.
