Your responsibilities will include: Providing loving, attentive care throughout the day Responding appropriately to each infant's individual needs and cues Supporting feeding, diapering, sleeping, and daily routines Holding, comforting, talking, singing, and engaging with infants Supporting infants as they develop movement, coordination, communication, and independence Providing age-appropriate Montessori experiences and activities Encouraging tummy time, movement, exploration, and sensory experiences Maintaining a clean, organized, and peaceful classroom Following safe sleep, health, and sanitation practices Maintaining appropriate supervision and teacher-to-child ratios Communicating respectfully and professionally with parents and families Recording daily information and communicating important updates about each child Working collaboratively with your teaching team Following California licensing requirements and school policies Participating in staff meetings and professional development We Are Looking For Someone Who Is: Warm, patient, gentle, and nurturing Reliable and dependable Comfortable caring for young infants Attentive to children's individual cues and needs Calm under pressure A strong communicator Comfortable working as part of a team Passionate about early childhood development Respectful toward children, families, and coworkers Interested in learning about Montessori education Montessori Experience Is a Plus — But Not Required You don't need to be a Montessori expert to join our team. If you are an experienced infant teacher or early childhood professional who wants to learn Montessori, we are willing to provide training and support for the right candidate. Experience with infants in a preschool, childcare center, nanny setting, family childcare home, Early Head Start, or similar environment is welcome.
