Patient Coordinator Job Description:
School Smiles and its partners are national providers of on-site dental healthcare services for children throughout the country. School Smiles is a comprehensive dental program servicing school systems and children of all grade levels (PreK-12).
The company continues to grow and expand and is looking to add a strong, motivated Patient Coordinator to its team. This position will promote School Smiles' services in local schools and develop strong customer service relationships with its client base at both the patient and facility level. The hours are 7:00am - 4:00pm Monday through Thursday and 7:00am - 2:00pm Friday.
Dental Insurance Coordinator Job Duties:
We are seeking an innovative, self motivated, focused individual to join our team. This position will be responsible for new customer implementation, relationship development, and verification of private insurance as well as Medicaid. This individual will be overseeing dental insurance verifications, patient scheduling, will be a liaison between our patients and clients, and more. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Patient Coordinator Job Requirements:
At least 1 year dental office experience
Minimum of 1 year experience in dental billing for Medicaid
Minimum of 1 year experience in dental billing for private insurances
Strong Customer Service skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Able to multitask
Patient Coordinator Job Preferences:
Knowledge of dental insurance/verification
Front Office dental experience
Knowledge of dental terminology
Prior experience with dental practice management software and electronic records
