The intern will build and maintain reporting and dashboards across demand, inventory, service, and supply performance; support Phase-In / Phase-Out (PIPO) execution so product transitions land on time, in full, and with minimal write-off; and identify manual, repetitive work that can be improved through automation and AI-assisted tools such as Excel Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate, and Microsoft Copilot. This is a structured learning role reporting to the Project Manager, Supply Chain, with coaching on supply chain fundamentals, analytics practices, and continuous improvement methods.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   Build, maintain, and automate recurring supply chain reports and dashboards (Excel, Power BI) covering demand, inventory, service level, fill rate, and excess and obsolete inventory. Document current-state processes through process maps, SOPs, and work instructions, and identify manual, repetitive, or error-prone steps that are candidates for standardization or automation. Design and pilot automation solutions using Power Query, Power Automate, Office Scripts or VBA, and AI-assisted tools such as Microsoft Copilot to reduce manual effort and cycle time. Support Phase-In / Phase-Out (PIPO) execution cross-functionally with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Marketing, Master Data, and Customer Service, tracking launch and discontinuation timelines, run-out plans, and cutover readiness. Collect, clean, and reconcile data from SAP, Blue Yonder, and other planning and reporting systems; investigate discrepancies and escalate data quality issues to the appropriate process owner. Translate analysis into clear recommendations by highlighting trends, exceptions, and root causes rather than reporting numbers alone. Maintain the PIPO tracker and related dashboards; monitor phase-out inventory run-down, flag obsolescence risk early, and recommend disposition. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, test solutions, and train end users on new reports and automated workflows. Apply basic continuous improvement methods, including process mapping and root cause analysis, to recurring supply chain pain points and propose corrective actions. Measure and report the impact of improvement projects (hours saved, errors avoided, cycle time and accuracy gains) before and after implementation. Assist with ad hoc analysis requests from Supply Chain leadership, including scenario analysis, KPI deep dives, and business case support.   QUALIFICATIONS     Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Must be actively enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program throughout the internship. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and Power Query; working knowledge of Power BI or Tableau preferred. Exposure to SQL, Python, Power Automate, Visio, or SAP is a plus. Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large data sets, identify issues, and generate practical solutions Curious and investigative mindset, comfortable asking why a process works the way it does and proposing a better way Able to stay organized, manage multiple workstreams, and adjust priorities while working with several stakeholders and deadlines. Self-starter with solid oral and written communication skills and the ability to present findings clearly to non-technical audiences   Desirable:   Exposure to process improvement or Lean Six Sigma concepts, or to AI-assisted productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot Ability to collaborate across functions and levels, gather input from stakeholders, and follow through independently on agreed solutions. Demonstrated teamwork, interpersonal skills, and follow-through through coursework, internships, projects, or work experience.
