Team Millborn is made up of people who do the right thing, no exception. We are authentic, genuine, and committed to excellence in everything we do. POSITION OVERVIEW Millborn Seeds is seeking an Inventory Specialist to oversee inventory flow, receiving, and warehouse organization. This role is responsible for ensuring incoming product is received accurately, inventory is stored efficiently, and warehouse space is managed proactively to support production, distribution, and customer needs. The Inventory Specialist plays an important role in keeping the entire operation moving. This person must understand what product is coming in, what is moving through production, and where inventory needs to go next. The ideal candidate is highly organized, anticipates space and inventory needs before they become bottlenecks, and takes ownership of maintaining an accurate and efficient warehouse. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Receive inbound LTL and UPS shipments, verify product, and complete required receiving documentation accurately and on time. Manage warehouse floor locations to ensure adequate space is available for incoming product and product moving out of production. Manage rack storage and pallet locations to maximize available warehouse space and maintain an organized inventory system. Maintain organization and product flow within the mixing area so production teammates can continue making mixes without unnecessary interruptions. Anticipate incoming inventory and production needs and proactively adjust warehouse space to prevent bottlenecks. Assist teammates with locating missing or misplaced seed and resolving inventory discrepancies. Work closely with production, distribution, and other teammates to coordinate inventory movement and warehouse priorities. Support inventory counts, audits, and reconciliation as needed to maintain inventory accuracy. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and work area. Support other operational needs as priorities and workload change. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory, warehouse space, and multiple priorities simultaneously. Operational mindset with the ability to anticipate incoming product and upcoming space needs. Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy. Ability to identify problems, troubleshoot inventory discrepancies, and take ownership of finding solutions. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently without direct supervision. Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively with production, distribution, and other teammates. Positive, team-first attitude with a willingness to jump in wherever needed. Ability to stay organized and make sound decisions in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Flexibility to adjust priorities as inventory, production, and customer needs change. Willingness to work overtime and weekends during peak seasons as needed. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform hands-on work in a warehouse environment. Ability to safely operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment. Valid driver’s license. PREFERRED Previous experience in inventory management, warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, agriculture, seed, or a related operation. Forklift certification or previous equipment-operation experience. Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory reconciliation, or warehouse organization. Familiarity with agricultural products or seed industry operations. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Incoming product is received and documented accurately and on time. Inventory locations are organized, accurate, and easy for teammates to navigate. Warehouse floor and rack space are managed proactively based on incoming product and production needs. Production has the space and product movement support needed to keep mixes moving efficiently. Missing or misplaced inventory is identified and resolved quickly. Inventory discrepancies are addressed rather than passed along. The warehouse remains clean, organized, safe, and ready to support daily operations.
