IT Programming Intern I

Description RS Medical is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Information Technology Programming Intern I to join our IT team. This internship provides hands-on experience in software development, system analysis, application design, testing, and implementation within a dynamic business environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or current senior pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. The position offers exposure to real-world projects, mentorship from experienced IT professionals, and the potential for future employment based on business needs and individual performance. What You'll Do As an IT Programming Intern, you will work alongside our development team to support and enhance business applications and systems. Responsibilities include: Assist with system analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation efforts Participate in code reviews and contribute to software enhancements Help maintain and improve existing applications and production systems Learn and utilize source control, version management, issue tracking, and documentation tools Follow established coding standards and development best practices Analyze program performance and assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues Collaborate with end users to understand business requirements and system improvements Participate in project planning, analysis, and design meetings Work closely with developers, project team members, and stakeholders Provide support during system implementations and post-deployment activities Perform other duties as assigned Requirements What We're Looking For Education & Experience Recent college graduate or current college senior pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field 0 to 6 months of professional IT experience Coursework or academic experience in programming languages such as C++, Java, or similar technologies Salesforce or cloud-based development experience is a plus Technical Skills Exposure to or knowledge of: Microsoft Web Architecture ASP.NET Web Development C#/.NET Development Scripting languages that integrate with C# Microsoft SQL Server Professional Attributes Passion for software development and technology Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to learn new technologies independently Innovative mindset with a willingness to take on new challenges Strong communication and collaboration skills Adaptable and eager to grow in a team-oriented environment Training & Development To support success in the role, interns will complete Salesforce Trailhead learning paths during their first 30 days, including: Developer Beginner Developer Intermediate Why Join RS Medical?
