What you'll do
- Technical Support: Assist staff and clients with IT-related issues, troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
- System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including system updates, backups, and monitoring of network performance.
- Installation and Configuration: Set up and configure computers, peripherals, and software for new and existing users.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and user support interactions.
- Training: Provide basic IT training to staff to enhance their understanding and use of technology resources.
- Security: Assist in implementing and maintaining cybersecurity measures to protect data and systems from threats.
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent qualifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Google IT Support Professional Certificate, or relevant work experience.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Customer-oriented approach with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
- Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Familiarity with common IT tools and software, such as Microsoft Office Suite, antivirus programs, and remote desktop applications.
- Basic understanding of network protocols and cybersecurity principles.
- Prior experience in an IT support role or internship.
