A.H. Beck Foundation Co., Inc. is seeking an IT Analyst to support and improve the technology our employees rely on. This role starts with hands-on IT support and automation, and grows into supporting and improving the business applications our teams use every day.
We're looking for someone who takes ownership of assigned systems, follows through on requests, and looks for ways to make everyday work more efficient. You should be comfortable working independently, communicating progress, and recognizing when to ask questions or escalate an issue.
What You'll Do
Endpoint and Account Administration
Coordinate and complete employee onboarding and offboarding, including account setup, access changes, equipment preparation, deployment, and recovery.
Deploy, configure, and support Windows computers, iPhones, iPads, printers, and other peripherals.
Maintain accurate equipment inventory, device assignments, and software license records; coordinate purchases, repairs, replacements, and returns.
Perform routine Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Entra ID administration, including user accounts, group memberships, mailbox access, and license assignments.
Maintain endpoint management configurations, including device enrollment, software deployment, update policies, and compliance settings.
Automation and Business Systems
Build and maintain scripts that automate routine IT tasks like account setup, onboarding, offboarding, and reporting.
Investigate recurring technical issues, identify root causes, and implement improvements that reduce repeat support requests.
Learn and help support the business applications we use, starting with user access and permissions and growing into configuration and workflow improvements.
Build and maintain documentation covering system configurations, standard operating procedures, troubleshooting, and employee instructions.
Employee Support and IT Projects
Serve as a primary point of contact for employee IT requests, resolving hardware, software, account, and connectivity issues and escalating more complex problems as needed.
Manage support requests through resolution, documenting work and keeping employees informed of progress.
Assist with system implementations, upgrades, and other IT projects, including occasional support at company offices and project locations.
What We're Looking For
Relevant experience in IT support, systems support, or a similar role.
Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory or Entra ID, mobile devices, and basic network troubleshooting.
Practical experience using PowerShell or similar tools to automate tasks or solve problems.
Interest in learning business applications and how they support day-to-day operations.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to learn unfamiliar systems, investigate problems, and work through solutions.
Clear communication skills and a patient, practical approach to supporting employees with varying levels of technical knowledge.
Organized and detail-oriented when managing access, implementing changes, and maintaining documentation.
The ability to prioritize competing requests, follow through on commitments, and keep others updated on progress and obstacles.
Sound judgment when handling sensitive information, making system changes, and determining when additional assistance is needed.
Relevant education, certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience.
What Will Set You Apart
Strong candidates will be able to share specific examples of how they have:
Taken ownership of a system, process, or recurring task and kept it running reliably over time.
Built a script or automated workflow that reduced manual work or improved accuracy.
Used endpoint management tools to deploy software, manage updates, or apply configurations across multiple devices.
Identified a recurring problem and implemented a lasting solution.
Created documentation and procedures that made support or administration more consistent.
You do not need to have used every system we support. We value demonstrated technical ability, curiosity about business processes, and a track record of learning and following through.
Work Schedule and Location
This is a full-time, in-office position in San Antonio, TX 78109, with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional travel to other company offices or project locations may be required.
