Job Summary & Essential Functions:
The IT Technician provides Information Technology support to assigned manufacturing site. The support responsibilities include hardware, software, account management and data backups. The level assigned will be based on education, certifications, skills, knowledge and experience.
Perform end user support tasks such as computer hardware acquisition, deployment, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and replacement.Prioritize, schedule, review and ensure the timely and effective resolution and documentation of issues and requests logged into the IT Help Desk ticketing system.Maintain Active Directory User Accounts, Security and Distribution Groups and related change requests.Supports data backup and rotation.Provide support for Multi-Function Printers (MFPs) and related applications, desktop printers, scanners and faxing.Provide support for mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets.Provide basic support for Voice Over IP (VOIP) phones. Support server room operations when directed including user account administration, data backups, restores and backup media rotations. Responsible for deployment of PCs at the site.Assist in resolving Local Area Network (LAN) issues where applicable and coordinating with the Network Services regarding network or other infrastructure changes and Wide Area Network (WAN) / LAN issues and Internet issues.Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all active systems excluding devices or systems directly supported by a vendor like copiers and other highly proprietary systems and devices.Responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 audits.Ensure compliance with security standards and policies. Perform and document internal Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 audits according to published schedules, policies and procedures.Implement or assist with designated IT system-based controls related to CMMC requirements. Ensure compliance with security standards and policies.Support the implementation of the I.T. components of site specific and / or companywide projects or initiatives. As needed, be available after hours to provide support for alerts issued by the applicable Monitoring System and or management.Assist IT department peers in troubleshooting and support tasks when circumstances warrant. Adhere to all IT policies and follow all IT Standard Work Instructions.Provide end user training as required.
