Summary: As a Jr. Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of network deployment projects. Your role will involve creating/managing project schedules, budgets, updating project management software with various milestones, and supporting stakeholders throughout the successful delivery of projects. You will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless execution of every project phase, from initial planning to final delivery, with a focus on high-quality results and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, deployment technicians, warehousing, and operations personnel, to drive the success of these network deployment initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail along with exceptional communication and leadership skills. Duties and Responsibilities ● Coordinate with project team members throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and requirements gathering through execution, delivery, and closeout. ● Create, maintain, and manage project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and budgets to support timely and successful project completion. ● Maintain accurate project information within internal and customer project management systems, including project status, milestones, schedules, deliverables, and other required updates. ● Track project progress and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying schedule, budget, or delivery concerns and escalating issues as appropriate. ● Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand project scope, requirements, goals, priorities, and deliverables. ● Facilitate communication between project teams and stakeholders to maintain alignment on project status, requirements, priorities, and next steps. ● Coordinate with Installation teams to understand project resource requirements and verify resources are appropriately assigned to support project schedules and deliverables. ● Monitor project status to identify potential risks, delays, and other issues, and work with project leadership to develop and implement appropriate mitigation or contingency plans. ● Work with leadership teams to identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes, streamline workflows, optimize resources, and increase operational efficiency. ● Monitor project deliverables and documentation to support established quality standards and customer requirements. ● Prepare and provide regular project updates using customer-provided templates and internal tools, including status reports, progress summaries, milestone updates, and risk assessments. ● Support the preparation and creation of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), including project status, performance metrics, and other required reporting. ● Prepare firm price quotes and quote templates and respond to customer requests for project pricing and quotations. ● Provide invoicing support and maintain project milestone tracking to support accurate and timely incremental invoicing. ● Coordinate and lead follow-up activities related to quote escalations to support timely resolution and customer response. ● Obtain and maintain required customer and project documentation, including Certificates of Insurance (COIs), W-2 documentation, and other required records. ● Maintain organized and accurate project records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle to support successful project delivery and closeout. ● Participate and host recurring internal and external project status meetings. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ● Strong project management expertise with the ability to oversee multi-phase network deployment projects. ● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for acting as the liaison between customers and internal teams. ● Ability to use multiple databases in alignment with internal and external stakeholders. ● In-depth knowledge of maintaining and delivering project documentation, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and deadlines. ● Ability to effectively track material movement, manage inventory, and address RFI and RMA processes. ● High attention to detail for conducting quality control, auditing processes, and ensuring consistent service standards. ● Leadership capabilities to facilitate cross-functional team collaboration and host productive weekly sync meetings. ● Problem-solving skills to manage escalations and maintain alignment on project goals and deliverables. ● Knowledge of data center or network deployment with fiber optic cabling, equipment installation, and network environment is a plus. Qualifications: ● Industry related experience with knowledge of data centers, network equipment, fiber optic cabling best practices, and/or 1-year of relevant technical experience in network deployment services. ● Track record of successfully delivering technical projects on time and within budget is a plus. ● Strong technical understanding of Project Management software processes and methodologies. ● Excellent project management skills, including experience with project management tools and techniques. ● Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels. ● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. ● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. ● Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or agile methodologies are a plus. Physical Demands: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. ● The employee will be required to use their hands 90% of the time to type, write, and handle paperwork. ● The employee will be sitting at a desk 80% of the time with walking between offices and other work areas from time to time. At times, employee is required to make customer visits to resolve problems or provide customer service. ● The employee may, from time to time, be required to lift weight up to 15 pounds. ● Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) is generally required, as the employee will be working at a computer and working with files & paperwork. Work Environment: ● This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the convenience of working from home. As a Jr. Technical Project Manager, you will collaborate with a diverse team of professionals across various time zones, utilizing virtual communication tools to manage projects effectively. The role requires a high level of self-discipline, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a productive work environment. Regular virtual (including on camera) meetings and clear communication are essential to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
