Kitting/Shipping Associate Location: Tucson, AZ Department: Operations / Warehouse Schedule: Evening shift Monday-Friday 2:30PM – 11:00PM Pay: $19.00/hour About Alicat Scientific Alicat Scientific is an ISO 9001 manufacturer of mass flow meters, mass flow controllers, and pressure controllers used in scientific, industrial, and OEM applications worldwide. Every instrument is built to order in Tucson, AZ, so precision and attention to detail matter at every stage — including the final steps of getting the right product safely to the right customer. Position Summary The Kitting/Shipping Associate plays a key role in fulfilling built-to-order instrument shipments. This person pulls, kits, and packages components and finished instruments accurately, then prepares outbound shipments to customers around the world. This is an evening shift role, ideal for someone who works well independently and keeps orders moving accurately as the day's production wraps up. Because each unit is custom-configured, close attention to work orders, part numbers, and packing accuracy is essential. Key Responsibilities Pull parts, accessories, and components from inventory according to work orders/kit lists Assemble kits for production and customer orders, verifying correct part numbers, quantities, and revisions Package finished mass flow/pressure instruments and accessories securely for domestic and international shipment Prepare shipping documentation, including packing slips, labels, and (for international orders) customs/export paperwork Process shipments via common carriers (UPS, FedEx, freight) and select appropriate service levels Maintain accurate inventory records; report discrepancies or shortages Inspect outgoing products for damage or missing components before shipment Keep kitting and shipping work areas organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards Collaborate with production, warehouse, and customer service teams to meet order deadlines Operate warehouse equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks, label printers, etc.) as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1+ years of experience in kitting, shipping/receiving, warehouse, or inventory environment (manufacturing setting a plus) Familiarity with ERP/inventory systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar) preferred Experience with shipping software (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager) a plus Comfortable reading work orders, BOMs, and part numbers with precision Basic knowledge of export/customs documentation a plus, not required Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods Reliable, organized, and able to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Willing and able to work an evening shift schedule Preferred Experience in a scientific/technical instrument or precision manufacturing environment Forklift certification Not the right fit?
