The Galliker Dairy Company, headquartered in Johnstown PA has an immediate opening for a Fulltime Laboratory Technician at the Johnstown location. Compensation - Competitive wage & excellent benefit package which includes Low deductible Medical and Company paid Dental plan, life insurance, 401K savings plan and vacation. This position is an overnight position from 8pm to 4am. EOE/AA E-Verify No calls to Dairy will be accepted. The successful candidate must have knowledge of routine standard operating procedures (SOP's) under the supervision of Quality Assurance. Accurately perform laboratory tests using required lab equipment and instruments making minor equipment adjustments as needed. Must record test results accurately, timely, and effectively communicate to appropriate personnel. Daily performs laboratory tests/experiments using SOP's. Daily operates laboratory equipment and instruments, records data, maintains and makes minor adjustment to equipment as required. Successfully participates in annual PA Dept. of Agriculture (PDA) Split Sample Program. Successfully participates in PDA Bi-Annual Laboratory Evaluation. Daily uses proper testing technique to avoid compromising lab results. Daily prepares, cleans, sterilizes and maintains lab equipment. Daily understand and applies dairy industry lab testing standards and regulations. Daily communicates testing results to appropriate plant personnel.
