The position also involves working with backup c-vial samples, including filing, documentation, and retrieval of samples as needed. The position requires a high level of organization, reliability, and attention to detail.ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReceiving, documenting, and distributing supply shipmentsLoading and unloading supplies to and from delivery trucksVerifying and inspecting incoming supplies for proper quantities and defectsScanning and uploading packing slips for documentationOrganizing supplies into storage and accurately keeping track of inventoryManaging the storage room to ensure an organized, safe, and clean work environmentProperly rotating inventory stock with expiration dates: first in, first outRetrieving and delivering supplies from storage to the lab teams as requested, including assisting with daily stocking of laboratory supply shelvesHandling storage and retrieval of the backup samples from the lab:Receiving the samples from Accessioning, checking them into the LIMS system, and filing them into the correct storage locationsFulfilling requests for samples to be pulled from storage and delivered to the lab for additional workHandling VIP sample requests in an expedient mannerFulfilling requests to relabel or pull and destroy samples as neededReceiving and responding to inter-departmental communications (email and slack)Assisting other laboratory teams when needed, including but not limited to: organization and relocation of laboratory equipment; replacement of air and water filters; providing assistance with equipment repair; and assisting with general cleaning and maintenance dutiesPOSITION REQUIREMENTSThe ability to regularly lift and move objects of up to 100 lbs.Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detailAbility to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and work primarily standing or movingExperience with LIMS systems and software such as Microsoft Excel and other company spreadsheet programs for keeping inventoryAbility to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importancePersonal accountability and integrity are paramount, as a shipping clerk is tasked with an accurate accounting of all inventoryHigh school diploma or GEDAbility to use a pallet jack requiredGood communication, time management, and organizational skillsAccuracy with documentation and inventory trackingMust be highly dependable, reliable, and honest
