Landscaper

Description We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Landscaper to maintain the outdoor appearance of our apartment community. This role is responsible for ensuring that all lawns, gardens, trees, and common outdoor areas are clean, safe, and visually appealing for residents and visitors. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and understands the importance of curb appeal in a residential community. Key Responsibilities Maintain lawns, landscaped areas, flower beds, and trees throughout the community Mow, edge, trim, weed, mulch, and prune as needed Plant flowers, shrubs, and greenery according to seasonal needs and property plans Remove debris, leaves, and litter from grounds, walkways, parking areas, and common spaces Operate and maintain landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.) safely Identify and report irrigation issues, damaged landscaping, or safety hazards Assist with storm cleanup when applicable Work closely with maintenance and management teams to ensure community standards are met Requirements Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor maintenance experience preferred Knowledge of basic landscaping techniques and equipment operation Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Personal Attributes: Dependable and Punctual: Shows up on time and completes tasks reliably without constant supervision. Self-Motivated:Takes initiative, stays productive throughout the day, and manages time effectively without micromanagement. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly. Frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and confined spaces. Manual dexterity for operating tools and equipment. Must be able to respond quickly to emergency situations, which may require running, climbing, or crawling. Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed. Additional Requirements: Must pass a background check after conditional offer of employment. Pay Range: In compliance with California pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this position is expected to be $25.00 - $28.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined by factors including experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
