Under general direction, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing department custodial personnel and overseeing and conducting minor mechanical, air-conditioner and electrical repairs, performing janitorial and maintenance of department premises. The employee performs custodial duties and responsibilities along with other workers or alone as needed. The employee monitors maintenance outsourced service contract workers and has a high degree of contact with City personnel and the public which requires tact and diplomacy.
