LPN, Staff Nurse - Days or Nights

A Day in the Life As an LPN Staff Nurse at Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center, you’ll deliver high-quality, individualized nursing care to children and young adults with complex medical needs, monitoring their progress, implementing care plans, and being a steady, caring presence every shift. You’ll work alongside RNs, Respiratory Therapists, and an expert interdisciplinary team in a supportive environment where learning and growth are part of the culture. Schedule: We offer self-scheduling to support your work-life balance! Day shifts: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM Night shifts: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM Hours: 24, 30, or 36 hours per week Weekend shifts/rotation required How This Position Contributes to Our Mission Deliver compassionate, individualized nursing care to children with complex medical needs, ensuring their health, safety, and comfort every shift Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement and monitor individualized care plans Provide tracheostomy and ventilator care — training is available for those new to this area Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations Educate residents and families on managing medical conditions to support long-term health outcomes Foster a nurturing, trauma-informed environment that supports the healing and growth of every resident Skills and Qualifications Required: Active, unencumbered LPN license in Kentucky Current CPR/BLS certification (provided if needed) Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for working with children and families Commitment to trauma-informed care and collaborative teamwork Preferred: Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or long-term care No vent or trach experience? No problem. We provide training for nurses who are new to ventilator and tracheostomy care. What matters most is your commitment to learning and your passion for the population we serve.
