This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, being outdoors, and learning the building materials industry. Core Responsibilities Load and unload lumber, rebar, and building materials for deliveries and customer pickups Organize materials and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient yard Assist customers and contractors in locating and loading materials when needed Operate forklifts or other material‑handling equipment after training (or assist operators) Help receive, check, and stock incoming shipments Communicate material issues, shortages, or safety concerns to yard leadership Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a positive team environment Perform general cleanup and support tasks as assigned Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required for seasonal help Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. occasionally and perform physical work outdoors in varying weather Willingness to learn forklift operation (certification a plus, not required) Dependable, safety‑conscious, and able to work well with a team Construction, farm, warehouse, or yard experience is helpful but not required A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required for occasional customer deliveries. Work Environment Outdoor lumber yard and rebar facility Exposure to weather, dust, and equipment noise Active, physical work similar to yard roles at national suppliers, with strong local support and teamwork Compensation & Benefits Full-time, non-exempt position Overtime available and/or required based on seasonality of the business $18 - $23 per hour commensurate with experience About Us Rocky Mountain Building Solutions is a locally owned, full‑service lumber yard and rebar fabrication company serving Colorado’s Western Slope for nearly 50 years. We support residential and commercial builders with lumber, rebar fabrication, building materials, painting, doors, windows, and delivery services, helping projects succeed from foundation to finish.
