Maintenance Apprentice – 1st Shift Custom Filters Direct | Bloomsburg, PA Full-time, on-site | Multiple openings available Pay: $18-20 per hour, based on experience and mechanical aptitude Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM About the Position Custom Filters Direct is hiring Maintenance Apprentices to build on their mechanical skills through paid, hands-on training with our experienced maintenance team. You will learn to inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production machinery and building systems. Applicants must have basic mechanical knowledge and experience using hand and power tools , gained through technical school, automotive repair, previous employment, or hands-on projects. If you enjoy figuring out how equipment works and making repairs, this is an opportunity to develop your skills in industrial and facilities maintenance. Responsibilities Assist with equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to manufacturing machinery and facility systems. Learn basic mechanical troubleshooting and report equipment issues to experienced maintenance staff. Help lubricate equipment, make adjustments, and repair or replace worn components under supervision. Assist with general building repairs and facilities upkeep. Learn to read equipment manuals, follow work orders, and document completed maintenance. Keep tools, supplies, and work areas clean and organized. Work with maintenance and production employees to support safe, reliable equipment operation. Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, and perform work only as trained and authorized. Required Qualifications Mechanical training or hands-on repair experience gained through technical school, automotive repair, equipment maintenance, or comparable mechanical projects. Experience using hand and power tools safely. Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to develop skills in industrial equipment repair and facilities maintenance. Ability to follow instructions, ask questions when needed, and work effectively with a team. Dependability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to perform physical job duties, including standing, bending, reaching, and moving tools and materials, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications Technical or trade school training in industrial maintenance, mechanics, mechatronics, electrical technology, or a related field. Experience working on machinery, vehicles, equipment, or other repair projects. What We Offer Weekly Pay.
