Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks. Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry repairs. Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Help maintain the building, equipment, and grounds. Assist with room preparations and facility improvement projects. Follow safety procedures and help ensure a safe environment for residents and staff. Work closely with the Maintenance Director to complete daily assignments. Qualifications Previous maintenance experience preferred. Basic knowledge of general building repairs and maintenance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Dependable, organized, and willing to learn. Ability to perform the physical duties of the position safely. Responsibilities Maintenance Assistant Essential Functions Maintenance Assistant will help with the implementation of a facility wide maintenance program that ensures the safety and well-being of residents, staff and visitors Following established maintenance tasks according to policy and procedures and facility quality assurance standards Maintaining all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semiannual and seasonal preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and property Performing unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed Maintenance Assistant will coordinate with other departments work schedules to avoid interference and unnecessary interruptions Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor IND123 Qualifications Maintenance Assistant Qualifications Have a thorough understanding of the best maintenance practices The ability to read, write, speak and understand the English Language The possession of an active State of Indiana driver’s license Patience, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm and a willingness to handle residents based on whatever maturity and physical level in which they are currently functioning A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required Have a Technical Schooling in electrical, plumbing, HVAC or mechanical is preferred but not required Options Apply for this job online Apply Share Email this job to a friend Refer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
