Join our team in its dedication to be the leading destination for gaming and hospitality on the beautiful, southern Oregon coast!\r\nBASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):\r\nMaintains grounds of The Mill Casino·Hotel & RV Park parking lots and assists Maintenance personnel when needed by performing the following duties.\r\nPRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\r\n\r\nPromote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.\r\nFill propane tanks\r\nClean showers, toilets, and laundry facility in the RV Park\r\nClean & Service equipment in the Laundry Mill\r\nCuts lawns. Trims and edges around walks, flower beds, and walls.\r\nPrunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs.\r\nSprays lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides. Rakes and bags leaves for disposal.\r\nCleans grounds and removes litter.\r\nSweeps/shovels derbies from walks and driveways.\r\nAssist maintenance workers when needed.\r\nPlants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs. Waters lawn and shrubs.\r\nRepairs fences, gates, walls, and walks. Paints fences and outbuildings.\r\nCleans out drainage ditches and culverts.\r\nSharpens tools such as weed cutters, edging tools, and shears.\r\nMakes minor repairs on equipment.\r\nPick up and deliver tools, supplies and equipment both on the grounds and locally.\r\nOther duties as assigned.\r\n\r\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):\r\n\r\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) strongly desired with one to three months of related general labor experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience.\r\nOR Driver\'s License in good standing highly desirable.\r\nAbility to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.\r\nMust pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies.\r\n\r\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT (the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions. The employee frequently works in high, precarious places and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally sit. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manage anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately.
