What you'll do
- Responsible for maintaining and cultivating grounds-including, but not limited to planting, pruning, weeding, mowing, irrigation.
- Adhere to proper cleaning methods, storage, and proper care of equipment and supplies.
- Operate small power equipment such as lawnmowers, weed eaters, pressure washer, etc.
- Landscape and grounds maintenance, equipment and possibly golf cart maintenance.
- Hang hurricane shutters when needed.
- Other duties as directed.
What you need
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic landscaping experience skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Must pass background check, including Fingerprint (FDLE Level 2)
- Must pass a post offer DOV assigned physical exam
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb, bend, kneel, stretch, reach throughout day
- Must enjoy and have ability to work outside in Florida weather

Location: St. Charles Borromeo Parish | Port Charlotte, FL
Classification: Hourly/Nonexempt
Overview
St. Charles Borromeo Parish is looking for a part-time Maintenance Associate to assist with maintenance of grounds at the Parish property.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining and cultivating grounds-including, but not limited to planting, pruning, weeding, mowing, irrigation.
Adhere to proper cleaning methods, storage, and proper care of equipment and supplies.
Operate small power equipment such as lawnmowers, weed eaters, pressure washer, etc.
Landscape and grounds maintenance, equipment and possibly golf cart maintenance.
Hang hurricane shutters when needed.
Other duties as directed.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Need to have basic landscaping experience skills.
Self-motivated individual able to work independently.
Must enjoy and have ability to work outside in Florida weather.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to climb, bend, kneel, stretch, reach throughout day.
Valid driver’s license.
Must pass background check, including Fingerprint (FDLE Level 2).
Must pass a post offer DOV assigned physical exam.
