As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll handle preventative maintenance and repairs across guest rooms, common areas, meeting spaces, and the fitness center, and you'll help maintain the hotel's mechanical systems. What you'll do Respond promptly to guest and staff repair requests, prioritizing issues that affect guest comfort and safety Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems Troubleshoot and repair fixtures, furniture, appliances, and equipment Keep accurate records of work orders, inspections, and maintenance logs Follow safety procedures and help keep the property up to code What we're looking for Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems Ability to work independently and manage multiple requests at once Friendly, professional demeanor when working in guest areas Availability for a varied schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; stand for up to six hours at a time; and regularly reach, carry, push, pull, bend, squat, and twist Experience in hotel, property, or building maintenance or housekeeping preferred Multi-lingual a plus Why you’ll want to work here Hourly pay starting at $23/hour Affordable medical, dental, for full-timers 401(k) with generous employer match Vacation, holiday, and paid sick time Hotel discounts with Choice Hotels Awesome team, amazing guests and a classy vibe For more information about our hotel, visit www.cambriasomerville.com Part-time position.
