Maintenance Technician

Apply Description E&E Foods is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Pacific Star plant in Kenai, Alaska. The ideal candidate has strong carpentry skills and the versatility to handle a wide range of tasks that keep the entire plant running smoothly — including the powerhouse, refrigeration, production lines, water system, kitchen, bunkhouse, and buying stations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ¦ Complete work orders within expected timeframes, and track and record progress. ¦ Perform carpentry, painting, drywall, and plumbing repairs; troubleshoot electrical issues; repair machinery; rekey locks; and make general repairs to building systems and common areas. ¦ Schedule or perform equipment testing, regular inspections, and preventive maintenance inspections (PMIs). ¦ Support maintenance administration, including inventory tracking and data entry. ¦ Assist the Maintenance Manager with the upkeep of company facilities, grounds, and common areas, keeping them clean and safe for all employees. ¦ Respond promptly to on-call, after-hours building emergencies. ¦ Build and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, vendors, and clients. Requirements WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR ¦ Mechanical, carpentry, and general maintenance skills (required). ¦ A quick learner who can think independently, solve problems, and make sound decisions. ¦ A team player who works well with coworkers in a fast-paced, diverse environment. ¦ Patience, flexibility, and a willingness to work as hard as the situation demands. ¦ Ability to understand and follow all instructions and safety rules. ¦ Excellent communication skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT ¦ Work is performed onsite and in person at the plant. ¦ Must be on your feet for most of the day. ¦ Must be able to sit at a desk or computer station, bend, stoop, walk, climb ladders, and move around the facility. ¦ Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
