Maintenance Technician-Part Time

Summary We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and self-motivated Part-Time Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team. This role is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, safety, and functionality of the property while ensuring a positive experience for our guests. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently during the evening shift. Location: Equus Inn Schedule Part-Time Shift: Fri/Sat 8-4 Sun/Mon 4-11 Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms and public areas Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff Troubleshoot and repair issues related to: HVAC systems Plumbing (leaks, clogs, fixtures) Electrical systems (lighting, outlets, minor repairs) Appliances and equipment Complete preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and equipment Maintain grounds and exterior areas as needed Ensure all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used Assist with room turns and ensure rooms are guest-ready when needed Qualifications Previous maintenance experience required (hotel or similar environment preferred) Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repair work Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Dependable with a strong work ethic Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, climbing ladders) Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Preferred Skills Experience in hospitality or property maintenance Strong customer service skills when interacting with guests What We’re Looking For A self-starter who takes initiative Someone dependable and consisten t with attendance A team player with a positive, can-do attitude Benefits (if applicable) Competitive hourly pay Flexible scheduling Opportunity for growth within the company Here's what you can expect: Compensation: $16-17/hr depending on experience *Keep in mind, Background Checks and Drug Testing will be conducted on all applicants*
