Maintenance Technician

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with equipment and finding ways to make things work better. About the Role: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventative maintenance and breakdown repair of production and building equipment. The person also participates in both the planning for and installation of new equipment, and helps identify and implement continuous improvement ideas to improve the effectiveness of production processes and building systems. Primary work hours are 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday and 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM Friday. We are looking for a candidate who is flexible to work occasional weekend work and respond to off shift work for emergency responses. What You’ll Do Repair broken equipment Perform preventative maintenance Install new equipment Modify existing equipment Participate in teams planning for new equipment Suggest improvements to preventive maintenance plans Inspect equipment to identify proper operation and detect developing failures Utilize computer systems to open and close maintenance tickets to track progress Participate and coordinate with technicians from other companies, such as electricians and plumbers, on projects Interface with management and purchasing to bring in required spare parts Comply with health and safety policies Perform other related duties as assigned by management What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is mechanically minded, dependable, and comfortable troubleshooting problems.
