What you'll do

• Ability to use work instructions to machine parts. 
• Ability to use precision measuring tools.
• Works in one family of machines. Examples Lathes and Mills, Lapping, Cam ring grinding.
• Perform Other duties as assigned
• Ability to use basic measuring tools (Micrometer, calipers and indicators)
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form
• Minimum of 2 years machine shop experience but not required
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be detailed oriented
• Follow all safety and workplace procedures
• Problem solving 
• Report any problems that arise to the lead or supervisor
• Capable of performing multiple tasks with a focus towards completing each assignment in a timely, accurate manner that meets established guidelines
• Ability to read & understand service parts manuals
• Organizational skills with excellent housekeeping habits
• Proven experience working in a team environment
• Available to work extended hours during the week and weekend as needed
• Ability to effectively communicate with others to express departmental needs and any required follow ups

• Able to lift 25lbs and more daily.
• Safety Glasses and steel/safety toed work boots are required.
• Other PPE equipment as required.
• Ear plugs in the clean up area
• Manufacturing plant shop environment
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts. 
• Exposure to elements such as odor, hydraulic fluids, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals.

What you need

• Must be able to machine parts to print.
• Mazak and Mazitrol experience is a plus.
