About the company
Brandon & Clark
Mechanical or industrial engineering · 201 to 500 employees
Brandon & Clark, Inc. is a well-established electro-mechanical company founded in 1950. While we are rooted in our strong history, we continue to grow and evolve. Our employees are our greatest asset, and we invest in their success by providing training, development, and opportunities to build long-term careers—not just jobs. When you join our team, you represent a trusted brand known for integrity, quality, and excellence. You'll build meaningful relationships and help deliver solutions that keep industries running. One of our core values is “shared fate,” which we define as empowering one another through a collaborative environment—listening to understand—within our teams and with our customers, and recognizing that every voice plays a role in our collective success.
What you'll do
- Operate a variety of machine tools — lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses — adjusting settings and monitoring machine behavior to maintain consistency and efficiency across production runs.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, speeds, and feeds based on job specifications and material type, completing precise setups for optimal performance and dimensional accuracy.
- Standardize tooling layouts for quicker access and use blocks or spacers to minimize zeroing.
- Perform preventive maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments; report machine malfunctions or wear to the supervisor to maintain operational readiness and prolong equipment life.
- Safely operate forklifts, hoists, lifts, and similar equipment in accordance with company standards, ensuring loads are secured and under full control.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area with tools, fixtures, and materials stored properly.
What you need
- Use precision measuring instruments — calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and dial indicators — to verify part dimensions and tolerances against drawings and inspection criteria.
- Select and apply the appropriate diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues and confirm quality.
- Follow department SOPs, apply SDS guidance for chemicals and lubricants, and work in accordance with EASA standards.
